The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed with regard to the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The services point developed for intervention activities a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sassa methods to help the servicing of all buyers and raise entry to status sassa Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
